Asymptotes

We were lines from two different zones
Looking for answers, yearning for solutions
To be with someone, not to be alone
In happily ever after, in high definition.

I tried to look upon the numbers
Numbers that are possibly the value of x
And so I continued searching with letters
I didn't know what to do next.

But then, our eyes met in same degree
We ourselves know, it was first love indeed
We wanted to know each other, and so that happened to be
From then, you're the answer I really need

We got closer and closer, like asymptotes
But why can't we be, why can't we be together?
Is this really fate that we're written on the notes
That we're never going to be, so then nothing is forever.
