In twilight's' iridescent field I walk
On an astral-like dimension , agleam
Where creatures robed in steel vests wink and blaze--
How entranced am I by their puzzling squawk
Muttering faintly, lenses white as chalk;
Till my body glides on a mystic stream
To relish the enigma of this haze,
A sigh which breaths would never wish to lock :
Then gradually a Nova descends
In purple mist around a vortex, such thrill ...
But gold starship wheel on their homeward flight;
That cosmic beings, kind, part when dusk ends
In the afterglow lingering still...
To tuck my dreams in wondrous joy tonight!
