Astral Fidelity

I deemed the dark an exile from my sphere; It only veiled the roads not meant for me. The constellations kept their counsel clear, Nor rendered doom till pulse matched destiny. No heaven altered when the morning came; I entered mine by keeping faith with flame.

I deemed the dark an exile from my sphere; this line I found myself reading a few times.

Dear Alison, your returning to that line more than once is a quiet gift to me. Sometimes a verse asks not to be understood at first glance, but to be dwelt within until it reveals its own light. Thank you for lingering there with it. May God ever cause His divine light to gleam upon your path and keep your spirit in His gentle grace.
