Ask and Receive

Ask and Receive

I Wasn't Very Old, I Guess
When I First Heard of You,
And I Thought Some Awful Things
Because I Didn't Think These Things Were True

Well, I'm Older Now , You See.
I'd Say Old Enough to Know,
That the Things I Heard as a Child
Were True and Helped Me Grow

One Thing More I Would Say
And of it I Won't Loose Sight
Because of You and What You Did
I Now Walk in the Light

I Have a Quiet Peaceful Calm
That Has Come into My Mind
An Iron Clad Knowledge of the Fact
That Earthly Things Don't Bind

My Spirit Lives Within Me
And You Abide as Well
It's the Surest Way for Any Soul
To Escape the Bonds of Hell

So Thank You Lord for Coming to Me
Just like I Asked You to
I Needed You for Such a Long Time
Now...I Am Here to Serve You

I Would like to Be a Blessing
To Someone in this Life
I Know There's Something I Could Do
To Ease Someone's Pain and Strife

So If You Think it Right
For Me to Help Someone Today
Just Lead and I Will Follow
And Again Tomorrow...I Shall Pray
