Ask About My Heart

Not a day is rolling by
in which I do not think of you.
I peer into a peaceful sky
with a hope as deep as waters,
wondering if there's a chance
or whether I should let the time progress.

I could speak of promises,
but my appearance will never win.
I could speak of moral virtue,
but my intellect may limit first impression.

For now, I will hope.
I will hope that you will one day
ask about my heart.
