Ashes of Remembrance

You, the ash in my memory,
are a testament to the fire that once consumed us.
We were a blaze, burning bright with passion and possibility.
But now, all that remains are the remnants,
the fragments that have settled in the depths of my consciousness.

In the ruins and wreckage of our love,
you find your dwelling.
A ghostly presence that lingers, refusing to fade away.
You permeate my thoughts, my dreams,
and every corner of my being.
Your essence is woven into the very fabric of my existence.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes,
you emerge from the flames of our past.
But what once held life and vitality
now stands as a stark reminder of what is lost.
Our dreams, once shared and nurtured,
now lie scattered and broken, unable to be resurrected.

I carry you with me, not as a burden,
but as a mark etched deep within my soul.
You have left an indelible imprint
upon the canvas of my mind.
Your absence weighs heavily upon me,
a constant ache that reminds me
of what we once had and what has slipped through our fingers.

Among the debris of our shattered love,
the residue of our time together remains.
The echoes of our laughter,
the promises whispered in the night,
they mingle with the somber tones of sorrow.
It is a bittersweet symphony that plays on,
a delicate dance between joy and heartache.

I hold onto the ash in my memory,
knowing that it carries the weight of our past
and the potential for our future.
It is a reminder of the fire we once shared,
and a testament to the strength we possess
to rise again.
