ASCENDING
Underneath the star-filled dome,
Where dreams ascend and spirits roam,
In every soul’s quiet yearning
A whisper of possibility is turning
Walk gently through this nocturnal vision
Where all is not as it appears in your premonition
Let hope be the lantern in the dark
Welcoming the serenity that night’s embrace imparts.
Though the path ahead is unknown,
Seeds once sown will have grown
Continue to dream, oh dreamer, do
Unfurl your wings, oh butterfly, anew
Beauty lives where it’s perceived
The supreme ruler, the ultimate being, conceives.
He fashioned me through the deepest parts of the sky
To ascend to the towering highs
Should I falter, angels will catch my descent
Fear not the ascent to heaven’s tent
