As You Rest

Your Enchanting Face My love surrounds each little breath from your enchanting face, as you rest. Two teething teeth, big soft eyes. Your hair still hides. Will you always stay this size? Little baby, you are so soft and round. Someday little toes will touch the ground. You made another sweet sound. I can still carry you around. A tuffet, a teapot, diddle diddle dee How blessed I am that you came to me. Your dolly, your crayons, your books and songs, promise you'll never stay away too long. My love surrounds each little breath from your enchanting face as you rest.

Why, thank you for your nice comment and for visiting my poem page. It's weird that I am thanking people now. I just forget that I can. I wrote it about my daughter who is now 20 years old.

Actually, she is 20 years old now. That makes me old :-) Her name is Caroline. I came across some of her baby pictures and became motivated to write this poem. Thank you for your praise.

I came across some of my daughter's baby pictures once and became motivated to write this poem. Your comment " Write on, please" makes me feel self -confident and proud. Thank you Gershon.
