As We Sit Still
as we sit still, befriending deep silence
melding with the void, surrendering will
presence forges with love, an alliance
divine magnetic currents, bliss instils
when earth life shapes us, upon the anvil
our mind body encounters turbulence
yet cave of our heart, is always tranquil
as we sit still, befriending deep silence
thoughts rested, no ego looking askance
our emptiness leaves no room for evil
paving way for divine entwined parlance
melding with the void, surrendering will
cyclic thoughts make mountains out of molehills
throwing our head and heart out of balance
thus turbidity continues until
presence forges with love, an alliance
inner alignment, bubbling innocence
negating worldly cacophony shrill
in harmony with the voice of conscience
divine magnetic currents, bliss instils
oh hermit, joy makes easy, path uphill
when we place upon God, full reliance
dwellers of void, drink nectar to their fill
with bliss bursting forth, in continuance
as we sit still
