As We Finish Trimming the Christian Tree

As We Finish Trimming the Christian Tree As we conclude this thoughtful task About to move along with Christmas cheer. Are we finished with this ‘Gospel’ story? Or is there more the kids need hear? Let’s not stop our story here Easter time is coming fast. That will announce this stories end Our Saviors time ‘to save’ at last. For though at Christmas time we cheer The humble birth of “The King of Kings” Most Christian folk remember well The death of Christ this “Easter” brings. With pieces of the Bethlehem story Now hung upon our “Christian Tree Our Savior’s body would also hang For all the world’s lost souls to see. Let’s keep these trimmings close at hand So while others await their Easter Bunny Dyeing eggs and munching “Peeps” We see Easter as not the least bit funny What we will see is God’s own plan Written down all across the land Preserved for us to live and learn All carried out by His “Right” hand. Lest I forget the exciting part It don’t end with a ‘crucified’ preacher For in the coming days, so many would see Walking and talking, Jesus their teacher. For God promised the world a Messiah A Prophet, A Priest, A King A Deliverer, A Savior, an Intercessor. This Jesus would prove to be “everything”. So if you pray before bed each night May it be Christmas Eve or mid Easter’s Lent Remember always to share with others That wonderful Savior our God has sent. And if by chance you haven’t done it. Remember always He wants you to. Invite Him now to rule your heart. Time may be short. Our days be few?? Written by oldbuck as an addition to We Trim the Christian Tree, to encourage some thoughtful moments into days often completely filled with Joy & Laughter. To bring “hints” of the “rebirth” to come.

Pashang: Thank you for the thoughtful comment. The "Santa Trees" with their lovely decorations seem to be winning in numbers but we all have our own "wish for the future". oldbuck

SO: If you are referring to: The Christian Tree? You may not have seen my 11/19/15 Posting of the Original Trimming. :o) I fear there is little distinction made between Santa's Christmas and the Celebration of the Birth of Christ. But I admit a certain, long held bias about that. :o) Thanks for your thoughtful comments. oldbuck
