As the Day Keeps Its Lies

when the sun has risen
and the sky turns white or blue
it keeps its lies withheld,
but as the moon rises
and the sun sets
its lies are told
it speaks about
its lying sun, and how
it itself is lying
it tells how only truth
comes from the flowers
that bloom with the day
and flowers that bloom
in the night
it cries when it
sets for it is not done
telling the truth
and as the sun rises
the lies begin again.
