As Real As Breathing

What is this insanity?
Why don’t we correct this wrong?

Too many real people let down by these bureaucratic systems. Now a real, young lady is gone.

Too many people are left to suffer.
Too many people left to struggle on.
Why can’t we be a country that fights to correct these wrongs?

Real people are out there suffering. Real people that find it impossible to carry on!
Suicidal thoughts are as real as breathing. Suicidal thoughts nag on and on!

Why can’t we be a country that loves and protects its people? Why can’t we heal the sickness of a society that lets it people feel so alone?

Why can’t we help when help is needed?

How many more lives of real people will it take for this society to right it’s wrongs?
