As Predicted

The storm came as predicted;
It wasn’t a surprise.
We’d canceled plans as every
Weather forecast did advise.

With lots to keep us busy,
We hunkered down indoors
And even did some online shopping.
(Easier than stores!)

The snow’s still blowing sideways;
The roads have hidden ice
But in our cozy haven
It feels comfortable and nice.

Tomorrow we must travel;
I hope the storm abates.
We’ll wait until the morning
To see what trial awaits.

Very well written and rhymed as you always do. We found ourselves skeptical so early in the winter, but low and behold it was true!! Well done my friend!............pat

Isn't it wonderful that you have a cozy nest where you can warm your bones during winter! Just imagine how your family would cope if you lived in Paradise (California)! Another great write! Aloha! Rico

Another great write from your very witty and prolific quill, Ilene. If NY weather is like that of Colo, wait 5 minutes and it will change! Glad you liked the mouse-cheese write. Bob
