As Phoenix From Smoldering Ashes Rise

As Phoenix from smoldering ashes rise
truth burns away false tales in its wake
to birth dreams and glory in dawn's surprise
within slow cast fog Love's touch not forsake!

Yet sorrow may bless, clearer bells to ring
musical tunes holy angels sing.

As Phoenix calls to broken world gone mad
when new life in majestic rivers swell
gone were fantasies we dreamers once had
that wisdom bade us, not ever dare tell!

Yet sorrow may bless, clearer bells to ring
musical tunes holy angels sing.

As Phoenix soars in clouds of gold bright rays
memories race beyond that purple veil
nothing whispers softly and nothing stays
in that dying dust, all goes straight to hell!

Yet sorrow may bless, clearer bells to ring
musical tunes holy angels sing.

As Phoenix flight dares flying alone
calls crash from magnificent mountain peaks
reminding humans are mere flesh and bones
and tainted are vessels from which all speak!

Yet sorrow may bless, clearer bells to ring
musical tunes holy angels sing.

Thank you my friend. To open ones eyes one must first know that willing blindness exists. This world constantly works to keep that knowledge away from its victims. A great pity that...

Bob, you always leave me pondering and thinking about your striking imagery that carries your writing. Love the repeating, contrasting refrain and the image of the Phoenix - always rising from ashes and sorrow to new life just ahead of us.

Thank you my friend. Life gives and it takes. We should understand this world is dark and tis' best we see and appreciate the gifts given far more than we lament the taking.. God bless..
