As My Life Flashes Before My Eyes
As my life flashes before my eyes,
slowly going into darkness before I die;
everyone around me is praying and crying.
My sweetheart takes my hand in his;
back, he and I walked alone
in that Autumn Day,
to the sound of bird's melodious tone.
My heart raised to the sky
as he nestled his hands around my face
and kissed me gently.
Back, while he stood by my side,
as I labored with our first child.
Eyed the pureness of the little red face as he cried.
Back, to the tender moments as we sat around
the Christmas tree exchanging gifts to the sounds
of laughter of our grandchildren.
My empty vessel lays there as I hovers high
hand in hand with my sweetheart.
