As Is

I fell in love with her because, She loved me without any clause - "As is"- it seemed and so I hoped, So I proposed and we eloped. But things soon changed, "Who could have thought, I was so very gravely flawed?!" To change me was her life long shot Into a man that I am not. Puzzled, I analyzed a bit, And figured - something didn't fit. Person in question therefore is: Who I have fallen in love with? Or maybe there is a slight chance, If changes she, for a romance? And then, if she does truly try As a kind gesture so will I. January 22, 2020

I think many women try to change men this way after they get married; of course a man would NEVER try to change his wife. :) Nicely penned my northern friend. Hugs, John
