As I Watch

I sit here and I watch
I watch as if I had a sharp eye like a Crow
The cold, brisk air pushes against me as I write
There's boys on the basketball court
Boys on the football field, girls chatting,
two coaches painting
I'm in another world
At least that's what it feels like

Society, so much to do, so much to see
I sit and think, is this how it's meant to be
As I write, I just watch and.... watch
There's a lady cutting grass
I even see some kids just arriving to school

The sun has came out now
Beautiful, and as bright as can be
Peace and calmness is what I'm feeling
I'm also feeling like I'm alone
I'm in another world

I sit and watch
As I write, I can feel the numbness in my leg
But, I still sit and watch
I have joy and peace within myself
Of course I do, I'm smiling
Smiling at everything that surrounds me

There's a plane flying, cars on the highway, kids playing
You would think it's very loud and noisy
But,it's not, there's silence.
There's silence within me.

I watch as if I had a sharp eye like a Crow
God's beautiful creations and nature
That's what I see
They're staring at me right in the face
They're waiting on me to explore.
