As I Slept

I dreamt of you as I slept last night
in the cool and quiet
of the full moon's light
I dreamt of you as we were there
young and carefree
as if dancing on air
I dreamt of how your lips kissed mine
and then once again
as our bodies entwined
I dreamt of you as it used to be
when I loved you so
and you so loved me
I dreamt of you and now you are gone
but I love you still
my love lingers on

Absolutely beautiful! Brilliant choice of words I can feel your pain.
