As I Sit

Father,
I sit here today with kitties
in my they're the only joy
                                   I have.
                                   Sitting, starring at these same
                                   old walls which need much
                                   repairs but I do nothing.
No one comes to visit me I crave
                                   human conversation.
I sit here alone thinking to myself
realizing, after awhile that it is not
my kitties or the need for human
contact that's gonna bring me joy
                                   or happiness.
Nor the things I have or all the places
                                   I escape too.
My True Joy and Happiness I am seeking
                                   comes only from You.!
