As I Saw the Coffin Going Down

AS I SAW THE COFFIN GOING DOWN

My heart bled
My eyes turned red
My aunt said
My child don't be sad
Because of pain
I was even losing my brain
My tears were like rain
Flowed from my eyes now and again
I was told this too shall pass
And my joy will grow up again like grass
To be strong I was told
My arms were fold
My eyes I closed
I prayed to the Lord
I prayed to my God
As I saw the coffin going down
On my knees I fell
As I saw the coffin going down
I sang with my soul it is well
