As I March
As I march with my brothers and sisters
With tears in my eyes and their chanting in my ears I have to ask myself once again why?
Why? And for what reason must we still
Fight for equality?.
Why must we fight to be heard?.
Why must we fight to be acknowledge?
Acknowledge as Human beings.
Acknowledge to be left alone.
As I March with my brothers and sisters with our voices hoarse from shouting,
Our throats hurting from chanting.
Knowing our Homeland is suffering.
Knowing Africa is been destroyed step by step. Our resources been stolen.
Our people suffering.
Knowing corruption is killing us.
I have to ask myself
Why? Why must we still fight to be seen?.
When will our suffering be seen?
When will our Pains be acknowledged?.
As I March with my brothers and sisters
With souls of our ancestors beside us.
With their Pains and suffering in our minds
We shout and chant even as our throats hurts. Because the Pain will never equal to what they have went through.
We the generation of Today.
Who never suffered the Pains our our ancestors. Who only knew about them through Books as our history is not even taught in schools.
As I March with my brothers and sisters
We shout out our pain as we were perplexed to see our people still been seen as object.
As we had to see our people been auditioned and sold.
Just like our ancestors.
Been sold and the world just watching.
Ignoring us once again as we are still not acknowledge as Human beings.
As we are still not been seen as equal.
As the world just don't care about us.
They don't care about us.
They never cared about us.
So I keep marching and shouting with my brothers and sisters.
I keep shouting and chanting with my brothers and sisters. Even as we walk through the rain. Even as our voices are hoarse and our throats hurting.
We keep marching because we care.
We keep marching because we are worth it.
We keep marching because we want a change.
We keep marching because we are the change.
We won't wait to be acknowledge.
We won't wait to be seen.
We are the World
Our future starts with us.
So world if you don't want to see us as Human beings.
We will make ourselves be seen
We won't be ignored
We stand up for ourselves
We March for ourselves
We are the change we want to see.
We are our freedom fighters.
So as I March with my brothers and sisters
I know am doing the right thing.
I know it is worth it.
As I am standing up for my people
As I am standing up for my brothers and sisters.
I March and March.
I March towards a better Future.
We March together.
We March for our rights. We are the change we want to see. We will be the change for our future.
Power to my brothers and sisters
Power to my people.
