As I Lay Here Restless....

Gone is peaceful as the night draws to close
while the diminishing light and quiet constrict.
This ceiling stares
   this ceiling villifies
     this ceiling torments my sleepless eyes

Its all compounded...the procrastinated purge
spills at anxious pace with attention paid.
Neglected trains of thought stagger forth
muscling for rank-all finishing first-Im cursed!

Harmony loses to chaos as these thoughts I here digest...
    
Awash in all this that we suppress while life distracts dutifully
and numbs certain processes until the day digresses.
Now I'll struggle to unravel answers and truths
to factless questions and malicious lies.
Disecting each query like eager 
 fumbling biology class freshmen,
   hopelessly unable to identify the insides....

 I'll lay fitful for now and envy all sleeping souls
enjoying dreams and waking tommorow refreshed
Im stressed and all my minds displays project onto this empty ceiling.

this ceiling taunts
   this ceiling crucifies
      this ceiling torments my sleepless eyes

let me guess high school biology teacher? yes this would keep me up also, i guess it's an age thing, trying to go to sleep because we have to. telling ourselves to go to bed and looking at the unforgiving ceiling "crying stay up with me!!!" yours john
