As I Elude

humming from an entity,
a dear angel sinks in me.
i wake to flounder in my sheets
the lake around her retreats

clinging to life for your gaze;
weary nights follow sore days.
now dying, should i plea;
how defying could i be?

watch my desires reshape
as you smother my escape.
i identify with the shadows,
so i’ll testify in the gallows.

letting go of our outgrown cliche,
there's a spirit in complete dismay.
i'm headed on my own exploration,
awaken my sweet transformation.
