As I Awoke this Morning

I woke this morning to hear a dove,
and wondered why peace and love
was not the mainstay of this earth,
as the sun, to a new day, gave birth.
Just then, I was roundly slammed,
and called a nutcase (specifically, goddam*ed).
So, I did just like the others,
put tacks on chairs,
stole from my brothers.

haha, tacky this is, I'm reminded of the line, you have to take up the tax before you take up the carpet.
