As I Am
In my cover I was bare.
Rolled out with nothing to wear.
Happiness took me out with my first cry.
The kiss from the sweet lips of the sufferer opened my eyes.
The milk of wisdom gave me options of good and evil.
As I am , I crawled to pave way on my own.
As I am, I fell in many muddy pits.
As I am, I learnt bitter sweet lessons of life.
As I am, I couldn't do it without Yahweh.
My darkest night draws nearer than before.
My final years door is shutting on me.
Thinking about my years bestowed on me by my Maker.
Strong limbs suddenly became feeble.
Beautiful face now covered with contours.
The pillow is my only source of comfort .
Faced with the reality and I have no silver or gold to take on this journey .
So bare I shall go without any questions to be answered .
As I am when i came, so shall i meet my Maker.
