As Flawed As I Am

I'm broken,
with no visible source of repair.
 And, I confess that sometimes,
 I really just don't care.
And, when I speak to YOU,
 I dare....
to ask... to cry... to scream...
What is it about me?
Why do YOU think I'm special?
Why do YOU love me,
as flawed as I am?
When I know to follow YOU,
but still, I lack direction.
When time after time,
I fail my own inspection.
But, with YOU... With YOU...
I never fear rejection.
With YOU... I know
that I have YOUR vote,
in any election.
When the world is acting worldish.
Attitudes all churlish,
stacked up against me,
like the strongest dam.
Father,
I know that YOU love me,
As Flawed As I Am.
