As Eyes Met Your Stance

as eyes met your stance
who notices the wind gusts
the sweat, thirst, hunger
who never really see you;

to look clearly but gaze
through snow, rain, shine, your sight roars

the Gods smiling,
allowed vision to remember
your moments
I never held you more when tears were shed
gently caressing as we shared one breath
and my view you created

which bears witness to your light
so we smile then, and laugh loud
for I saw a total being

And life is the sum of all the glimpses

                                                   1/5/2022
