As Deep as I Want to Go
I stopped looking,
For the ultimate answer,
To the question that can never be answered,
When I realized that there is no such thing as nothing.
Even if there was just a never ending blackness,
It is still blackness,
Even if life was a never-ending circle,
What is outside the circle is still something,
Or if it is a continuous line,
Either side of the line is something,
Even if it has no name.
Why would I waste my Life in this world?
Asking questions that will never be answered in this lifetime,
Questions that can only take me further from the truth,
And lead me down a path that lets me see nothing,
That I will ever likely, have the ability, to interpret,
Questions that only lead me further into the maze.
It is comfort enough for me, for now,
To know that there is no such thing as nothing,
And that when I leave this life,
I will be going to something.
