Jack Ellison Poet Quatrain

As Big As Your Eye

Ever seen a mouse
As big as a house
Or a fly as big as your eye
How bout a bee
With a sunburned knee
Or a turkey that sniffles and cries

What about a chicken
Wearing green mittens
Or a kangaroo singing the blues 
An elephant with hands
Doing hand stands
Or a hippo wearing green shoes

Here's a few more
A gold fish that roars
Or a cat with a pink feathered hat
A pet cockatoo
Named Bartholomew
Or a sensitive tiger named Matt

Or finally a goat
Sailing a boat
With a pipe sticking out of his gob
A squirrel with a cold
And a tooth made of gold
Or a hamster who's first name is Bob

Carol Eastman June 29, 2015 at 11:47 AM I had a hamster named Bob, actually Bobby Socks. We just called him Bob. My brother had a cockatoo named Barthalamew. Really! We had a cat named Barthomew, but he's been gone many a year. Died at a happy old age. And to answer your question... Yea... Your the only one I write fun things too. FANTASY?!!! You mean their not REAL!!! Now don't start spreading that rumor. Dragon and the menagerie will get upset... And you don't want to make a cute baby Dragon cry... Honestly! It's not pretty... LOL
