As

As dawn chases away the night, in slow motion Imperial red appears upon the horizon Then softly turns into light coral radiant light In these moments of beauty my thoughts turn to you You're in a place of glorious light Where there is no coming night There's no need of the sun or moon For Jesus and God are the pure light There is a river running there As pure as any water can be A tree grows on each side Bearing 12 different kinds of fruit to eat That tree has leaves that can heal All the nations of the earth can eat Provided that they confess Jesus as Lord He will provide leaves of the tree to heal I know you are resting in God's love I am assured you are healed You are living in and feeling that perfect love That only our God can give
I used color charts from the internet, I selected a picture from the internet, I used dawn here at my home, The Living Bible translation of Revelations 22, my brain, The Holy Spirit, and my grief..

This is a very nice heart-felt piece of writing, imagining the heaven where your beloved has gone. It must be so difficult at this time of year for you. Good thing you are so aware of the hope of the afterlife and God's love.

Andrea, Grief comes in waves. I have good seconds, minutes, hours then it will hit. I know he has gone on in his spirit to a much better place, but he no longer is here where we are which is very hard. As the poem says, " the going is easier for those that go than those who are left behind"..Sara K

Kim, I grieve but with the hope of glory, seeing my husband again and living in a glorified body for eternity. Thanks for the visit and kind review. Sara K

Yes, perfect joy and peace can come from God alone. A lovely poem affirming your faith in the all pervading spirit of God and his all encompassing love. Beautiful description of the unfolding dawn. Wish you a Happy Christmas, dear Sara. With some family functions in the offing, I am afraid, I won't be active on the site for sometime.

Christmas can be a busy time for some women who work to do for their families. I am sure you are one of those women, Valsa. I am no longer able to do very much so it will be not very busy for me. Sara K

Dear Sara, I was moved by how you blended the dawn imagery with the vision from Revelation 22, it gives the poem a luminous quality, as your grief itself is being transfigured into light. A wonderful meditation and tribute on loss that turns toward eternal assurance. Sara, It’s tender and radiant at the same time. Jesus is the answer, always, Amen! Holiday Blessings, Dear Sara, Daniel

Thank you, Daniel. God had to give it to me. I have been thinking about Revelation and of course grief is still with me. Thank you for the Holiday Blessings. I need all the blessings I can get. Sara K
