Art of Romance
SPRING
Like holding the hands of children, two cords
of blithe, did rear lovers ~ oh how they’ve soared!
Amorous and forward, Lil’s his reward
draped in angel wings.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
A precious love stokes warmth from a smolder.
Serenity leans on Ann’s bare shoulder.
The rare beauty, her beast is much colder
then plinking harp strings.
ROSEBUDS
Nearly touching heads, brunette and henna
bent t’wards garden zen ~ waltz of vienna.
Garb’d in rosebud pink and teal, McKenna
and sister ~ brass rings.*
SHEIKH
A harem of blue butterflies, she’s chic.
Tiers of soft pink satin and her mystique.
Moment of weakness, Dawn’s drawn to the sheikh,
then flutter of wings.**
IDYLLIC
Sam lays on her lemondrop lap. Petals
still - her finger vase. Soon Rose would settle
for an idyllic marriage — their kettle
whistling of hot springs.
