Art of Hearts

The writer's stories fill many a page  Sharing their talent of which they are proud  That has been so since before the Stone Age Some quiet and modest, and some rather loud Artists, musicians and dancers take stage. Musicians play instruments brilliantly  Displaying the talent possessed by them all Listeners wowed by their versatility  Their talent answering to poetry's call A meeting of arts in complete symmetry. Artists beguile us with paintings so fine Their canvas displaying what's stored in the heart  With pictures like stars as they start to align Painting and poetry a duet of art Alone or together, they’re certain to shine. Dancers make magic in their dancing shoes Sensing the temperature starting to rise Their movement and grace both in time with their cues Just watch the perfection of these girls and guys As all of their watchers they surely enthuse.  “Ars Longa, Vita Brevis” 13th November

Aha! Glad to see that I am not the only one who uses 'Ars longa, vita brevis,' Belle. ~ Ad astra per aspera! :) Gershon

I’ve made a note of that Gershon, “Ad astra per aspera” and the translation “Through hardship to the stars” I’m sure I’ll be using it sometime... Thank you Gershon, Belle

Well done, indeed! Everyone should consider how opera has thrilled Asia to a point where they quickly learned how to make and play the instruments, sing, dance, etc. whereas Asian arts have been mostly the Beatles introducing the sitar...Aloha! Rico

Hi Rico, it good that opera fares well in Asia with such talented musicians, singers and dancers. Also good is that the Beatles had such an influence on music all over the world... Thank you, Belle
