Art Admired
Roaming around in the Gallery today
Eyes growing wide with colourful sway
Splashes so vibrant burying layers
Flashes and hues, images and prayers
Oil on canvas, surrealist and Glasgow Boys
Catching my attention, full of the joys
Some were dark, sad, black, brown, grey
Others were vibrant, swooping like to prey
Touches of colour, hundreds of faces
Some elegant portraits, heirs and graces
Moody scenes and country landscapes
Sensual moods, infidelity, tempting grapes
Tones cleverly used to draw in the stare
Hard to imagine some on copper they dare
Taken aback at the thoughts of the mind
The man on the cross inspired Dali to find
Paintings with drama, artists on display
A visit to Kelvingrove made wonderful day.
