Arrogance of the Academic

The poets throughout human history With lines both plain and plucked in mystery Clever though they may be, have failed to satisfactorily Change the nature of man’s depravity Document, analyze, mock, and praise Poets have a role to play In the drama of the human race Provide some spice to improve the taste But in the end Please let us not pretend That we will ever comprehend The thoughts and deeds of mere mortal men For it’s a foolish endeavor And there is none as clever Who can correctly measure The moves and motives of human pleasures The words I pen are my proof Even if you consider it to be aloof That judgement is for God alone to rend His to control from the beginning to His ends

A thoughtful philosophical analysis that arrives at pure Truth. Bravo, Kenneth! Hope and Faith, Gershon
