Around the World In One More Day

Around The World In One More Day by Rick Rucker At the wheel, I see the rollers' foam, The Ocean's undulating loam. The race was lost months ago, When the Hurricane did blow. My trusty boat was almost dismated, Not long would I have then lasted. I thought that I'd use the Frightening Spin, To forge ahead, then win. The combo of Wind and Wave, Made it unlikely that I would save The Life of the boat or me, That I would be Buried at Sea. Once, on a wave that Rose, and Rose, The Boat was dancing, on its toes. Suddenly, it began to fall, I heard the Ocean's Siren Call. When it finally reached the Trough, It went underwater, could only cough! That was the worst it got, Two days more, there was not Any Wind worthy of the name, But I was done, just the same. I'll make land on the morrow, Then, no more sailing, without Sorrow. When I thought that I was done, I couldn't stop thinking of The One That made all skies blue, from gray, I want to spend every day In your loving arms, And lose myself in your charms. In a landlocked country I can live, You will receive all the Love that I can give! Up until my dying day, From you, Love, I'll never stray!
