Around the Corner
The flower fairies congregate
around the lily pool then wait
until the stars' resplendent light
illuminate each floating pad.
To taste the sound of petals' song
how quietly... they drift along
above the grove, all clothed in flames
till pixies scatter dust on boughs.
And winging through the air-brushed haze
each little feather gleams anew,
their lacy sequins all ablaze
with varnished gauze of every blue.
Through morning's rise, they’ll fade from view
like stepping stones from me to you...
if you believe, glide far away
around the corner, there's a wand!
