Around His Neck

There once was a man from the land of M
A lot of people thought he was a joker
Fond of women's clothes he liked wearing them
Around his neck he wore a black choker

A lot of people thought he was a joker
Underneath all that dark eye liner
Around his neck he wore a choker
his high heels could not be finer

Underneath all that dark eye liner
The boy who so adored his mom
His high heels could not be finer
He wished to be a Sheila instead of Tom

The boy who so adored Mom
All of those exquisite clothes
He wished he could be Sheila instead of Tom
Yet there was that problem with his hose

All those exquisite clothes
A lot of people thought he was a joker
Yet there was that problem with his hose
Around his neck they found a black choker

What can I say about this poem - only that it6's good. People are what they are and who they are. Sheila was my nick name for a long time. Thanks for sharing...... Lucilla

No one can ever understand our ideas, our objectives, our life or style fully. This brought to mind a couple of very vibrant people I know. This is a very interesting piece. Thanks for sharing. I gotta read some more of your work! Always, Laura

not sure about this one, I can see this one is not coming from your gentle side. anyways, I thought I'd stop in after all the nice comments I've seen from you in these last few days. This is the reason, I'm only here for the food. LOL, Richard, to bad for this joker. I think he can use a hug, at least he did not come from the land of OZ. :-). SKAT

I respect you sharing your perspective. My thoughts around it are there are people who are different in many ways and they feel they can never be accepted as they are. Unfortunately the results can be tragic. Thier choice is not mine but in the end they are human beings and they want people to accept them for who they are. Some differences are beyond their capacity to change.
