Arms and Man!
Fetters, fetters everywhere
Tagore’s dream seen nowhere
In the forest of human mind
Hatred flames most unkind!
Talk of venom all over
None to offer safety cover
Countless ploys launched across
Innocent ones carry the cross!
Missiles, men run amuck
Borders bombed nearer home
Lands run over, lives lost
Tears trickle not, relief nowhere!
Conflict zones far apart
Softness fled human heart
Craze to crush never on wane
Bans impose not chains on thought!
Where the forge, what hammer
Why on earth spread chaos?
Can’t folks breathe peace and love
Why not stop demonic dance?
Grounds differ, games are same
Terror strikes sans any shame
Rays of reason need show the way
Arms allow not peace anywhere!
