Armor of Love
I wish I could take away
all the hurt and pain.
I want to wrap
my arms around youand let my love
be the impenatrable armorthat barricades out
all the venomous words.
To protect your tender soul
from those who intend harm,
is what I want.
It sears my flesh
to see you in so much pain.
I burn with you.
We share the same sensations.
Your wounded heart
makes mine ache.
This need I have
I can't explain.
The only thing I know is,
I love you.
