Arise
Open the windows and doors
and let the demons out
sweep the corners of the room
and breathe fresh air from the atmosphere
something refreshing is drawing near
Throw out the dirty spread and make up the beds
put on new sheets and rise up on your feet
sing a song for thee to set your spirit free
Arise ye dry bones and spread the news around
something magnificent is coming to town and
the wheels are spinning around
the birds are flying into the city
observing secret place and penetrating the races
Arise and leave that place
the people are a utter disgrace
They have polluted the city with oil residue
and litter the beaches with plastic
from the sea, arise and clean up the city
I have been in the rut for too long
It is time to start singing a new song
and invite the universe to sing along
feel the pain and walk on it,
feel the shame and face it
feel the love and embrace it
Arise ye children of light and
crawl with courage out of the dark
the wedding bells are ringing
the rehearsals are happening
and the wedding feast
will take place at noon
Arise and celebrate the bride and groom
Arise and leave that oppressive city
Throw down your weapon
and walk out with dignity
somethings are not worth fighting for
It is the quality of the life
that you live that counts
and the years that you spent in it
and the number of years that is left in it
that matters the most arise and walk out
I have been counting the days when
the table will turn
and my heart wills no more burn
I have been counting the days when the spirit
will lead me on the path that destiny lives
and love forgive, I have been waiting on that day
when prosperity will come my way
And I will have a decent place to live and
The power to forgive.
Arise and let your voice be heard
Arise and travel around the world
Arise and spread your courage around
You are millions of miles away from home
but your strength and faith
will find you a comfortable home
Arise and meet me at the boarding gate
before it is too late
Arise!
