Aries of Avidity
When I gaze deeply into your heart,
I see my own strength staring back
I see that I am worthy
Hugged in the warmth of its beat
I am attracted to your integrity
To your passionate journey
Of your flight to the stars
Do you know...that it is
A fire's dream to become an inferno?
Just as you are—
My flames long to be
There is an absence of fear
In every step you tread
I can feel that you have walked beyond
Your darkest, murkiest hour
And your faith has not been crushed
You have risen above the darkness
And you continue to rise in light
You have been so alone,
You have been the hero for yourself
You value strong hearts and minds
And you will never settle for less
To be in your space
Is to taste the earth's finest flavor
To be in your space
Is to master genuine laughter
And meaningful tears
To be in your space is to
Wrestle with the magic of truth
With a healthy zest for movement
And a promising thirst for growth
I want to be in your space
Till there is no space in-between
For you and I see
That your spirit is my fire's need
And my joy is your soul's dream
When I gaze deeply into your heart,
I remember why we suffer,
And I rejoice,
For you lead me to the stars of night
To the gracious lights in the sky
That show us the weight of our mortality
And our ascending hope beyond
