Ariel Could Not Hide Her Light

Ariel could not hide her light, it illuminated the sea.
She was an underwater lighthouse, guiding ships.
Dissatisfied, because she did not understand her gifts.
She sought other worlds, adventure, wanting to be more.

She had no idea that she was the quintessential mermaid.
No one was allowed to tell her, so they bid her farewell.
Hoping her purity and love would change the world.
Knowing her empathetic confidence would be a joy to all.

Ariel’s enthusiastic adventure helped her to realize
Her own strengths and talents. She felt humbled and grateful.
She returned to the ocean, to retain her position as mermaid.
Gifting lost sailors with a memory of happily ever after and forever.
