Are You There

Hello?
 I’m inside.
Can you hear me?
 Of course you can,
But there’s no one there to listen.

So numb you are to the agony,
I feel all that you feel
All except reality.

A still heart,
A silent mind
And green glass eyes to see.

You touch without feeling.
Sniff without smelling.
Eat without tasting.
Exist without meaning.

Oh Rebecca....this is so...laced with deep emotion. Fantastic write...the final four lines really brought the anguish home. Great write. Thank you, dear, for visiting my Never Shame a Woman. Much appreciated.

Thank you very much for your comment. I find my emotions are what drive my poetry. Something we perhaps have in common.
