Are You the Girl, Or the Woman
Are you the girl all clingy and wanting,
Or are you strong and self-sufficient.
Are you the girl who throws a tantrum,
Or do you reason fair, clear and proficient.
Are you the girl who wants attention,
Or the woman who wants respect.
Are you the girl deceitfully playing those games,
Or do you nurture the current subject.
Are you the girl addicted to media,
Or are you addicted to life.
Are you the girl who can’t cook or clean,
Or are you a proud housewife.
Are you the girl that likes to be all sexy,
Or are you all about grace.
Are you the girl into reality tv,
Or have you learned to embrace.
Are you the girl that banks on a man,
Or are you financially free.
If you were the second choice in every stanza,
Then I’d love for you to meet me.
