Are You a Giver

Do you consider yourself a giver or a taker A genuine human being or a selfish faker Don't help if you expect something in return Do it cause you wish to, a valuable lesson to learn All too many people in the world today Have hidden agendas and don't mean what they say Never sparing a thought for those in need Brushing off those that are left to plead But then someone kindhearted comes along Restoring faith in mankind when you thought it all gone Someone who helps without blinking an eye Someone who is honest and doesn't lie Someone who helps those in need Reassuring them for help they needn't plead Teaching and educating those wanting to learn Providing opportunities so an income they can earn Being an inspiration or role model if you may Being supportive showing an alternate way That is a giver as I would define Someone that stands out in a line Proving to all what they say is true Unfortunately only found in a given few 23/09/2020 GIVERS POETRY CONTEST Regina McIntosh

Regina, hello! A tough subject you have if I may say handled in a definitive and giving way. This needs to be read in a family gathering in every household. Thank you!
