Are They Twins
Are They Twins?
By Elton Camp
To moms with children the same age
This foolish question can bring rage
Some irritating, grinning woman begins
“Oh, how cute--tell me, are they twins?”
“No, I found the extra kid in the parking lot
And on an impulse, I thought, “Why not?”
But, if in that town, the mother does live
It’s better a more courteous answer to give
“Yes, this is Meg and that one Bill”
She will then question it further still
Names the inquiry cannot forestall
“Are they identical,” she will call
“No, not quite,” the amused mom will snort
“He’s coaxial cable, but she’s USB port.”
