Are There Bullies

Are there bullies in this world?
You bet your life there are.
At school, at work, at play, at home,
They're closer than they're far.

We'd like to keep them far away.
They're no one's friend for sure.
They're like a cold, a virus,
For which there is no cure.

They pick and choose their targets.
Someone they think can't fight.
They find their Achilles heel,
Then they attack on sight.

It's the way they make themselves feel good,
Better about themselves.
Because they feel inferior,
And really don't like themselves.

They think of no one but themselves,
And so they feel alone.
Even in a crowded room,
They're heard above the drone.

They're jealous and they're angry.
They've no one save for self,
Because they've never been a friend,
All they have is SELF.

I wrote a really good, appropriate poem today directed at a bully, but I shall not put it on Poetry Soup because I've had my say regarding the current situation.
