Arctic Blasts
Cold air, strong wind, high snowbanks, with sun still shining through
A brisk, clear, walk will wake you up from all that you do
Branches squeaking all around from the wind that blows
Winter’s endurance is stronger than anyone knows
Frozen snowballs are scattered across the pavement on the street
Slippery ice patches are everywhere to look out for, under your feet
This is what you see in the mountains from many arctic blasts
While the long winter shows its mighty force, for as long as it lasts
