Sure wouldnt want to be labeled as Edith but................  if the shoe fits

Archie Bunker Loves Crackers

Crackers are white
what's not to love
Crackers are simple food
for simple minds

Archie sits in his chair
rants against liberals
races
and humanity

Some think he passed on
for every fool gone
another will appear
even from down under

Where hatred is running in high gear

There is often humor and truth in our worst critic. Everyone is a mirror we see ourselves through. Some make us proud, if for no other reason we are not likeminded. Others reveal dark secrets in ourselves, perhaps never exposed without their reflection.

Archie was a piece of work, wasn't he? He and his show would not survive long in today's world.

Biting and bold—your poem captures how ignorance and hate recycle themselves across time and geography. Stark imagery and direct language make this hit hard. Well done.
