Aquatic Butterflies
Variations multicolored adaptations shimmering in the waters
Of hewed blue, beauties in the depths light show, yet these
Aquatic butterfly’s sting requires distances persuasion.
Deadly eloquence with a venomous tentacle embrace,
But in graceful opulence’s to perfections beguiling eyes,
None compare to the Jelly fish!
Delicate creatures swaying within the oceans tides,
Swerving, curving at the mercy of the shifting currents,
Floating umbrella canopies seaming transparent,
To the human naked eye!
Waves rolling, rocking twisting to and fro, I’d love to
Just dive in amongst them, but I’m pro-life so it’s
Better just to admirer them from a glass bottom boat!
Underneath the crushing depth other of the species,
Flick to the float, where light is key these aquatic butterflies
Shine, bio illuminations electric light show stimulates the
Pondering heart, and captures thy gaze unto amazement!
Natures dangerous mixing of the ancient beauty and beast
Combination, just daring you to get a little closer, but
Basic instinct repels, amongst the coral reef many dazing
Fish swim by in designs master work of achievement,
I’m drawn to the these in flexing, flexible bell shaped
Creatures of the blue, gray deep!
Free-swimming marine animals of ancient times sense
Past, exceptional survivors adapting to environmental
Changes with evolutions contrasting miraculous mutations,
Surging on the stage of survivals fittest, they’ve merged
Ahead against the odds in explosive numbers,
So beware!
At mid-days sunset I’ll slowly enter the surf, watching
My arm grasp not disturb the rippling tides stride,
Carefully watching from beneath the waves about me,
I can see them everywhere, these aquatic butterflies
Of the fathoms deep, seemingly waltzing, swaying
In total silence, putting on an elliptical moonlight
Night show, just for me this solitary brave soul!
As the bubbles rise upwards from my breathing
Machine of life, I’m captured within this magnificent
Display of aquatic brilliance, as the glow light from
Above dances mysterious adding to this majestic
Vision laying before my masked under water view!
Cautiously I’ll keep my relative distance, but I’ll always
Relish this sustained moment, infused within mine
Memories photo album of life, these aquatic butteries
Of the giant coral reef have touched a spiritual
Sensitive beyond immortality reach, and I’m
Completely awe inspired!
